Join Sarah Mansfeild MP at the Pivotonian Cinema for this special community screening.
A new documentary film, directed by Jordan Guisti, FLOODLAND tells the story of the devastating 2022 Lismore Floods. Winner of the Sydney Film Festival’s prestigious 2025 Sustainability Award, FLOODLAND is a powerful illustration of the urgent need to support communities facing the climate emergency and how to enable their recovery and healing through community-led solutions.
Gain insights from Sarah Mansfield, Greens Member for Western Victoria, and guests as they open the film with a short discussion about the Report on the Parliamentary Inquiry into Climate Resilience, the role of government in disaster preparedness and recovery, and lessons from the film in a local context.
This year marks four years since the devastating Lismore floods – and with it comes the release of this powerful film capturing the resilience, heartbreak, and hope of a community united by water and recovery. Join us in honouring this milestone and the people whose stories shaped it. We hope to see you there.
Please arrive at The Pivotonian Cinema at 7pm for a 7:15pm start time.
